The Changing ''Face'' of Soccer Shoes

Soccer shoes make an important aspect of the soccer gear and the entire game. Though players' uniform has experienced numerous changes since the early days of the game, soccer shoes have come through a very small number of changes.

From the start, soccer shoes used to be mostly black and came with higher cuts than modern ones. The design changes were dictated by those in shorts, socks, and other parts of costumes. It was being disputed for a long time whether the major attention should be given to the protection from climate or from injury. All in all, the changes were mostly stylistic.
